Version 1.02S, 30 Mar 1996 (from 1.02, 1 Jan 1993)
The protocol consists of these five messages :
Message_EditRq
Message_EditAck
Message_EditReturn
Message_EditAbort
Message_EditDataSave
Message_EditCursor
The purpose of the protocol is to allow one task (the "Clients") to send its data to another task (the "Editor") for editing, without forcing the user to "drag things all over the place.."
Applications supporting the protocol include :
Clients :
!OLRead
!JFAddress
!NoteIt
!FidoMail
!MakeARPC
Editors :
!StrongED
!Zap 1.20
!DJF-JRF
!FormEdExt
How useful this protocol will be, depends on how many tasks support it, both as "Client" and "Editors".
