VDU 8 backspaces the cursor
In VDU 4 mode this is the text cursor, in VDU 5 mode the graphics cursor. Backspace moves to negative X (default is left, set by VDU 23,16). If at the start of a row (column with vertical printing) it moves to the end of the previous row (or column) scrolling the screen where necessary.
Backspace does not delete the previous character.
