This memo defines a portion of the Management Information Base (MIB) for use with network management protocols in TCP/IP-based internets. In particular, it defines objects for managing DS1 Interfaces -- including both T1 and E1 (a.k.a., CEPT 2 Mbit/s) links.
This document entirely replaces RFC1232, which contains a fundamental error: many objects are encoded as Counters that must be encoded as INTEGERs or Gauges. The magnitude of the change required is sufficient that virtually every object changed. Therefore, the MIB documented in RFC1232 should not be implemented.
