Pitch Meaning
0 - 255 BBC style pitch (increase by 4 for one semitone); 101 is usually middle C though this depends on the sample
&0100 - &7FFF Enhanced pitch control : &offf
&o000 is octave, &0fff is fraction of octave;
&4000 is usually middle C though this depends on the sample
&8000 - &FFFF Phase accumulator increment (?)
