On entry processor may be in any state (mode, interrupts). On exit you must restore everything, unless you wish to return an error (in R0, V set). This routine is called whenever a buffer's owner is changing - i.e. removing/deregistering the buffer, a call to Buffer_LinkDevice for this buffer, or killing the buffer manager.
