A soundtracker module (or Pro/NoiseTracker), a 4 or 8-track score with 8-bits sampled sounds, very popular on the Amiga and other machines (*.mod) - nowadays it's a bit outdated, though.
There's a bit of confusion here, too many formats are gathered around this filetype. Originally, &CB6 was dedicated to Hugo Fiennes' Tracker (an Arc equivalent to the Amiga ProTracker format), and &001 to Protracker. Then Symphony decided to add Oktalyser and MED files in the &001 filetype and QTM
treated Protrack files with filetype &CB6. This leads to a very tricky situation, which players seem to treat quite well.
Possibilities are:
· 8 bits samples
· Maximum sample length: 65536
· Up to 31 instruments
· Number of patterns: 64
· Length of song: 128 patterns
· 3 octaves
Reading: Symphony (All), Q2Track, RiscTracker, Harmony, PDTracker (MODs)
Desktop Tracker (Tracker)
Saving: Symphony (MOD and Tracker)
